Nathan Jasper is a film critic and an aspiring author with a true passion for the film industry. To me, movies aren't just images on celluloid. Movies are an art form. While watching a film, I often imagine that it's is a dramatization of actual events in order to immerse myself into the huge array of emotions, drama, action, and adventure that's in store. Nathan Jasper by name is, in fact, a clever pseudonym but I prefer it stay that way when I'm writing and reviewing. I sometimes also go by Alec Zander, but I'm trying to keep everything under one name now that I'm expanding to books.

 

I live in Sylva, North Carolina, hence the name "The Sylva Movie Critic". I've often said that I'd like to show the world that there are people in North Carolina who are still open-minded and have hearts. I intend to do so through my critiquing, articles, and books.

I'm sure visitors to the site have no doubt wondered, who is this person in the background? That's Lisbeth Salander, portrayed by Noomi Rapace, from the 2009 Swedish film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, not to be confused with the lackluster remake starring Rooney Mara. The film is my all-time favorite, and I revere Noomi Rapace highly as the best current actress anywhere. My all-time favorite, however, is Audrey Hepburn.
